The adventures of Flat Stanley.

Flat stanley (www.flatstanley.com) is a school project Cooper came home from school with. Flat Stanley is to go where we go over the school holidays, and his adventures documented.

So far, FS has been on the train to the city, been snapped with the caramello koala, had KFC for lunch, and taken a specky at an AFL workshop.

PHOTOS!!

A new school year.

So Cooper started grade 2 this year, Darcy starts prep, and Mia is in 3YO kinder.

It's full steam ahead in the growing up department.

Darcy was so excited to be starting. She yelled at me for coming into her class on her first day. She was so ready for school though, and will do well.

Me, I was fine. Knowing she was ready helped. I waved her off, and went on my way.

Mia, well I hate leaving her. She's my baby, always will be. When she starts school I'll be an emotional mess, as I'm sure she will be. We're extremely close.

Piccies!!

Wow, it's been a while...

Because I don't frequent EB as much as I used to, I forget this is here.

So much has been happening. Children are growing. Mia will be 3 soon, and I'm struggling. Every time my child has turned 3, I've either been pregnant or had a newborn. This time, nothing. No babes.

A few piccies...

Will do a proper update in a minute. Need to finish putting songs on Coop's MP3 for Xmas before he comes out and busts me...

Cheerio Kevin...

My community today remembered our own Jamie Durie, the inspiartional gardner,Mr Kevin Heinze.

Kevin died of a heart attack last week, aged 81. He is best known for hosting the ABC’s gardening show Sow What from 1967 to 1988.

There were over 500 people at his service today in Kilsyth, and the Primary school where Cooper goes and the Pre-school where Darcy goes were allowed to leave early to remember him as he went past on his way to his final resting place.

The 100's of children clapped and cheered as he passed, and said thankyou to him for all he's done for our community, the fire engines were out in the driveway, and the volunteers saluting. We then went up to his property, where he donated a huge slice of his land to The People's Garden, which is a park anyone can go to for respite, and we said goodbye.

Cheerio Kevin, thanks for all you've done for our little community. You will be greatly missed.
